What time is it?
Learning to read analog clock can be challenging for kids. Teaching time through this easy clock craft can make it fun instead. In the process, introduce the numbers on a clock, the hour hand, and the minute hand. It's a great exercise for number sorting as well.
To double the fun for my daughter, we added her favorite Mickey Mouse cutout in the center. Here is how it looks like.
MATERIALS:
Paper plate (1)
Multi-color foam sheets
Popsicle stick (1) size 11cm x 0.8cm
Black sketch pen
Glue
Stencil for mickey mouse (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Cut 12 multi-color circles of ~1.5cm in diameter from foam sheets. Tip: You can use glue stick cap to trace the circle on the foam sheets.
Step 2: Write numbers from 1 to 12 on the circles and glue them to the paper plate as shown in the picture.
Step 3: Split the popsicle stick into two parts of approx. 7cm and 4cm. and glue them as shown in the picture.
Step 4:. Make a character of your kid's choice and glue it covering the intersection of the stick parts.
Your kid's clock is ready. Happy Crafting!
