After all the Diwali and Halloween fun crafting, my daughter and I are gearing up for upcoming winter festivities. My two-year-old is fascinated by the multitude of festivals and customs across the world.
Engaging young kids in festive crafts is a great way to teach them about the festival while helping them develop creativity and self-expression. And, as a big bonus, keeping them away from the screen in today's tech world.
Don't forget to check out the perfect Christmas gift, Snowman Lapel Pin that we made last week and a cute Turkey Puppet craft that we made for Thanksgiving.
Building on our momentum for festive crafting, my daughter and I made these easy and cute Pasta Reindeer Christmas ornaments!

Reindeer is one of the beloved characters in Christmas legends. The lore is that reindeers pull a sleigh through the night sky to help Santa Claus deliver gifts to children on Christmas Eve.
Inspired by the book and the movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, we created these reindeer ornaments!
MATERIALS:
Penne Pasta or Mostaccioli Pasta
Pipe Cleaner (brown)
Wiggle Eyes
Pom-pom
Twine/Ribbon
Paint (brown)
Paintbrush
Glue
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Paint five pieces of penne pasta brown and let them dry.
Step 2: Glue them together making the shape of reindeer's face as shown below.
Step 3: Cut three pieces of pipe cleaner (two small and one big). Twist the small ones on the big piece making the shape of the reindeer's antlers as shown below.
Step 4: Glue wiggle eyes and pom-pom for the nose.
Step 5: Attach antlers to the face by inserting them in the pasta at both the ends. You can apply a little glue to hold them tight if needed.
Step 6: Tie a thread/ribbon through the pasta to hang the ornament.
And your kid-made pasta reindeer ornaments are ready to adorn your Christmas tree! Happy Crafting!!
