Sometimes, kids get creative themselves! This is one where my tot wrote these words on her own when asked to write something about mommy. She did such a great job writing the characters out and making cute little silhouettes that it became a great card for mother's day.
I decided to convert it into a memento for Mother's day by creating a canvas and easel with her artwork.
An easy scribbled craft for the very special mommies!
Happy Mother's Day

MATERIALS
Craft Sticks
Cardboard
Cardstock Paper
Crayons
Gem/Jewel Stickers
Hot Glue
Decorative Edging Scissor
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Glue the craft sticks as shown in the picture below to make the easel.
2. Cut a rectangular piece (~ 4" x 3.25") of pink cardstock paper. Ask your kiddo to personalize it with the lovely message and drawing. Here is what my daughter did. We used a decorative edge scissor to give that pretty look to the message card.
3. Cut a rectangular piece of cardboard slightly bigger than the cardstock paper cutout. Paint it black on one side. Fortunately, we were able to find a black cardboard piece in our home so we didn't have to color it.
4. Glue the cardstock paper on the cardboard and decorate it with gem stickers. And the personalized canvas craft is ready!
5. Place the personalized canvas on the easel. That's all, you are ready to surprise your mom :)
