Have you seen the latest Disney animation movie Toy Story 4? My daughter is super excited about the new handmade toy called "Forky" joining the toy story 4 characters gang and wanted to make one herself.
So, we started to dig in our recyclables treasure box to find a spork and could only find a purple one. Hence our purple Forky :) ..Isn't it cute?

This is a quick and easy craft for preschoolers and requires some basic craft supplies. My daughter was able to do most of it by herself except for a little help with folding the pipe cleaner to make fingers and cutting the wood stick.

SUPPLIES
Spork
Pipe Cleaner
Googly Eyes
Popsicle Stick
Air-Dry Clay (p.s. We have used play-doh for this craft but it couldn't hold the spork for long)
Yarn - Optional
Glue
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Twist a pipe cleaner around the spork's handle. Shape the ends of the pipe cleaner to make three fingers.
Step 2: Stick different sized googly eyes on the spork.
Step 3: Take a small piece of air-dry clay and roll it to make a smooth string. Join the ends to make the shape of the mouth and stick on the spork.
Step 4: Take a small piece of yarn and stick to the Forky's head. You can also use clay for this step.
Step 5: Cut a popsicle stick into half.
Step 6: Make a cone shape of air-dry clay and stick the two half pieces of popsicle stick at the bottom of it. Finally, insert the spork such that it stands well with the clay support.
And your child's cute Forky ready!!
