India's Independence day is celebrated on August 15th as a national holiday commemorating the nation's independence.
Celebrate India's Independence day by making these super fun tri-color party popper with kids.
This party popper craft is easy to make and requires some basic supplies that you can find at home or school. Children will enjoy making their colorful party popper and then playing with it.
HOW TO MAKE A PARTY POPPER?
Supplies needed to make party popper Cardboard Tube or Paper cup (1)
Balloon (1)
Construction Paper (Orange, White, Green) or Sticky Foam Sheets (Optional)
Scissor
Glue
Blue Marker
Instructions to make party popper
Step 1: Start with knotting the balloon, and cut off the tip.
Step 2: Stretch the balloon tightly around the cardboard tube as shown in the picture below.
Step 3: Cut out flag color strips (5.5 inch x 1.25 inch) from sticky foam sheet. Sticky foam sheets are easier for young kids to work with but they're totally optional.
You can use regular construction paper to cut paper strips and stick on the cardboard tube with glue.
Step 4: Glue the saffron, white, and green color strips on cardboard tube.
Step 5: Draw wheel (Ashoka Chakra) in the center on the white strip with blue marker. Let it dry if you're using marker on foam sheet.
And, the party popper is ready to have fun with.
