Looking for simple ideas for kids to celebrate India's Independence day? Here is a quick and easy handprint craft idea for young children to make.
Kids will enjoy painting their hand in tricolor (saffron/orange, white, and green) horizontal sections to make India's flag and stamping their hand on the paper.
In the center, there is a navy blue color wheel with twenty-four spokes, known as the Ashoka Chakra. We have not drawn all the spokes in this craft but children can choose to draw all 24 spokes if they like.
They can use a bottle cap to draw the circle and a ruler to make the lines Or draw everything freehand. Finally, add a brown color pole to the flag to complete their artwork. Customize with "Happy Independence Day" message or convert it into a card for loved ones.
This handprint artwork will also make a lovely keepsake or classroom display. Parents can frame it for a cute kid's room decor.
